Berlin is an eclectic city.  Parts of it are typical old-style European architecture, while other parts had to rebuilt after WW II.  Museum Island is one of the places that are captured in time.  5 museums built between 1824 and 1930.  Centered here is the Pergamon Museum which was completed in 1909.  If you look carefully you can read the sign on the bridge warning people and boaters about unexploded bombs in the water.
